Put on your lab coat and take part in some science experiments with dad—plant tomato seeds that were sent to the International Space Station in 2011 and returned to Earth on May 15, 2013 with Commander Chris Hadfield. Then take your seeds home, track their germination, and help Canadian space scientists! You can also build a model airplane, explore the feature K’NEX exhibit, and view the other exhibits at the science centre.

Symphony at the Village

The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will perform music that celebrates the Ukrainian culture and history in Alberta with traditional classical Ukrainian music, some Hollywood scores, and familiar hits by Canadian legends Ian Tyson and Gordon Lightfoot.

Dad’s get free admission to all the activities and attractions at this living history museum. There will be ongoing entertainment and activities throughout the day including a gentleman’s tea, a fur press demonstration, a bucksaw demonstration, and a game of old-fashioned baseball.

  1. Don’t forget that you can also come out to Laurier Park (beside the Zoo) on Sunday and join us in support for prostate cancer awareness and research in the 5 K Run and 3 K walk.
