Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all teens! Let it be known throughout the land that your presence is requested at the AGA’s next Teen Night on Friday, April 19 from 5-8 pm. Attend this joyous fare, replete with mirth and merriment. Bringeth a dear one and revel in the night! Inspired by Medieval and Renaissance Faires, this event includes a friendly tournament, pageantry, art activities and more! Costumes are encouraged! Teen Night is presented twice per year. It is planned and organized by the AGA’s Youth Council.

The Concordia Symphony Orchestra joins Vancouver-based sitarist and composer Mohamed Assani in his work Scheherazade for sitar and orchestra.  The ensemble once again unites Eastern and Western music traditions, this time in an exploration of the five elements of Nature: Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Space.  Assani will perform in a sitar & tabla duo followed by traditional Indian dance and singing. Orchestral works include Ravel’s Alborada del gracioso, Stravinsky’s ​“Infernal Dance of King Kashchey” from The Firebird Suite, Smetana’s Moldau, and Márquez’s Danzón No. 2.  Everyone is welcome.
