Sip, shop, eat, play, and give at the Edmonton Christmas Market this weekend! They are kicking off their second weekend of festivities including a market featuring local makers, unique cocktails and delicious bites to eat, and tons of local entertainment! Here’s 3 things to check out at the market.
1. Browse unique gifts from over 100 local makers!
Although their expansion to Fort Edmonton Park is recent, the Edmonton Christmas Market has been bringing local wares to customers for several years! Originally hosted at the Roxy Theatre, this market now features over 100 different local businesses, selling tons of unique gifts.
2. Catch a festive show.
This year, take your Christmas market experience to the next level at the Capitol Theatre! They will be showing a whole bunch of shows, including a comedy showcase and The 11 O’clock number from Edmonton’s Grindstone Theatre. We’re also excited for the Indigi-Hauz HolliSlay Spectacular, a show which features some amazing Treaty 6 Two Spirit drag entertainers!
3. Explore all the on-site action!
Beyond picking up some one-of-a-kind gifts, there’s tons of other activities to participate in! For little ones, Thoroughfare Baked Goods is hosting a cookie decorating workshop.
