So much free fun to be found at the Strathearn Art Walk & Music Festival.

What’s on this weekend?! Well, we’ve got concerts, local artists, cycling, football, theatre, and more! Don’t miss out.

1. The Chicks | Sep 8
Even if they’re “Not Ready to Make Nice,” they’re ready to wow their fans at Rogers Place. The 13-time Grammy Award-winning American country music band is joined on tour by Maren Morris, another Grammy Award country music winner.

2. Edmonton Mountain Bike Festival | Sep 8–10
Launched last year, this festival is dedicated to Edmonton’s vibrant cycling community. Enjoy group rides through the beautiful River Valley, then kick back with a beer and some live entertainment from local artists. Events will also include demos, races, and more!

3. Open Cockpit Day | Sep 9
Ever wanted to step into the cockpit of some of history’s most significant planes? Now’s your chance! The annual Open Cockpit Day at the Alberta Aviation Museum is back for another year of fun. Snap the perfect Instagram shot, try out a specialized flight simulator, or learn about the unique and exciting history of Edmonton aviators.

4. Edmonton Elks vs Calgary Stampeders | Sep 9
It’s the tail end of the regular season for the 2015 Grey Cup winners, so it’s your last chance to watch them run into the endzone until next year! Don’t forget to don your green and gold.

5. Al Fresco on 104 | Sep 9
It’s the last Al Fresco for the year, so make it count! Come for a Punjabi Zumba dance party, free food from Taste of South India (while supplies last), live music, extended restaurant patios, and plenty of local goods.

6. SIX: The Musical | till Sep 10
It’s the last weekend to rewrite her-story with this Tony Award-winning viral sensation! Celebrate girl power with the tudor wives of Henry VIII with this toe-tapping modern take on a classic tale.

7. Strathearn Art Walk & Music Festival | Sep 9 & 10
This free annual art walk and festival features over 300 local artists as vendors and on the main stage! Come for performances, the outdoor art gallery, food trucks, and community fun. Park-and-walk lots can be found at École Gabrielle-Roy (8728–93 Ave.) and École Michaëlle-Jean (10005–84 St.), and a bike lock lot is available on-site.
