In this workshop you will learn how to turn holes and tears in your clothing into works of art through visible mending! This practice emphasizes rather than hides the repair and adds creativity to our clothing’s sustainability. Visible mending is a way to give our clothes a second life by repairing holes or tears using embroidery techniques or patching.

Bring a garment in need of some tender loving care for this workshop, preferably natural fibre such as cotton, hemp, linen etc. If you do not have something to repair, natural fibre fabric patches will be made available.

All other materials will be provided and each participant will be able to take home a small kit to continue exploring the art of visible repair on your own.
