CHeck out an art gallery | ongoing

There’s several exciting exhibitions on this weekend! Support local art in Edmonton by checking out one of these galleries:

Rainbow Visions | November 3 – 6

Celebrating LGBTQI2S+ films, Rainbow Visions is back for their 8th year! This festival is screening both feature length and short films. Check out Maisie, the story of Britain’s oldest drag act or learn more about Texas’s first openly transgender elected official in A Run for More. There are lots more films to explore, so make sure to check out their website for the full schedule.

Capital City Vintage Market | November 4 – 6

Our favourite vintage market is back with their biggest market yet! With vendors selling vintage clothes, accessories, and homewares, this market is a great opportunity to support local businesses and shop sustainably! Plus, this weekend there will be a selection of antique holiday items.

While you’re there, check out the amazing permanent vendors on the main floor of the Downtown Farmers’ Market, which are now open on Friday – Sunday.

YEG Global Shapers Clothing Swap Event | November 5

Head down to 124 Street’s YWCA to participate in one of Life Preloved’s clothing swaps. Clothing swaps are a great way to give your clothes new life and promote sustainable consumption. Make sure to bring 5 of your own items in wearable condition and a reusable bag to take your new items home with you!

Rocky Mountain Wine & Food festival | November 4 & 5

Sample wine, spirits, and beers from over 650 vendors at the Edmonton Convention Centre! Unlock your inner sommelier with wines from all over the world, or indulge in beers and ciders from both local and international brewers. Plus, local restaurants are on-site with delicious gourmet food pairings. Make sure to visit Edmonton favourites like Avila Arepa, Blowers & Grafton, and Campio Brewing Co!

CanNatyam Classical Dance | Nov 4 & 6

As a part of the Thousand Faces Festival, this event will be providing two breathtaking nights of dancing at La Cité Francophone! Featuring artists performing in styles from different regions of India, each performance is unique and designed specifically for the Thousand Faces Festival’s 10th anniversary.
