Manchester square spring festival | May 26

Kick off your weekend with a visit to this fun spring festival! Hosted in Edmonton’s iconic Manchester Square, this event will feature local vendors, food trucks, photo opportunities, live entertainment, and more. Once you’re done exploring the festival, make sure to pay a visit to all the surrounding local businesses and restaurants including The Tin Box’s new location.

Edmonton Ukrainian Festival | May 26–27

Celebrate the vibrant history of Ukrainians in Edmonton with this exciting cultural festival. Enjoy dance performances, delicious food, and so much more, all in the heart of Borden Park. On top of live music and performances from local and national dance groups, there will also be a dedicated kids zone, complete with Ukrainian crafts and activities. The best part? The festival is completely free! Don’t miss it.

Backyard Patio Party: Bollywood Edition | May 27

Ready to head outside and party the night away? One of Edmonton’s favourite outdoor venues is back with their signature events, including a Bollywood–themed patio party taking place this weekend. Enjoy tunes from DJ Inspire & DJ Driftz, who will be playing Bollywood and Punjabi music all night long.

Ubuntu Festival: Edmonton’s afrika day celebration | May 27–28

Celebrate African cultures and heritages this weekend with this local festival! Dedicated to highlighting the rich diversity of African businesses in Edmonton, this event will feature live music, food trucks, Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, and more! Capital City Vintage Market | May 27–28

Looking to discover some new (to you) treasures? Capital City Vintage Market has got you covered! They’ll be taking over the second floor of the Downtown Farmers Market and filling it with unique vendors. Explore vintage clothing, accessories, homewares, and more. Plus, make sure to visit all the permanent vendors located on the main floor of the Farmers Market to browse the best seasonal produce, baked goods, and more.

Edmonton Stingers Basketball | May 28

The Edmonton Stingers are kicking off their 2023 season this weekend! Head down to the Edmonton Expo Centre’s Flair Airlines Hangar for top-notch basketball action as the team begins their 5th season. Game day activities will also include a pre-game tailgate party, free parking at the Edmonton Expo Centre, and halftime show from local artist OG Jonah. There’s still some tickets left so don’t miss this opportunity to support Edmonton’s local team!

Edmonton Riverboat | Various

Edmonton’s iconic riverboat is hitting the North Saskatchewan. Interested in climbing aboard? You’re in luck, there’s still tickets available for this weekend! Join them Friday–Sunday for general admission, or Friday–Saturday night for the classic buffet dinner cruise.
