Summer is in full swing in festival city and there’s tons to explore! Here’s what’s on this weekend.


Edmonton International Street Performers Festival & The Works Art & Design Festival | July 7–16

These two festivals are teaming up for another year packed with stunning art and energetic performances, right in the heart of Edmonton! Get ready for 10 days of action in Churchill Square, complete with amazing performances by street performers from around the globe. Plus, make sure to check out all the art installations that are part of The Works Festival which will include interactive instruments, unique workshops, and much more!

Grindstone Comedy Festival | July 5–9

Get ready to laugh–this iconic comedy festival is back for a 4th year! Head down to The Grindstone Theatre to experience some of the best stand-up, improv, and sketch comedy that our city has to offer. On top of performances from talented national comics and local legends, the Grindstone Comedy Festival will feature workshops, dance parties, an open mic, and a Stand-Up Stand-Off, where comedians will face-off in a head to head competition.

Whyte Avenue Art Walk | July 7 to 9

Celebrate all of Edmonton’s artists this weekend with the Whyte Avenue Art Walk! The streets of Old Strathcona will be filled with artists as this iconic Edmonton event returns for another year. Started in 1995, this art walk welcomes over 400 diverse artists to create the city’s largest outdoor art gallery.

Edmonton Riverhawks Baseball | July 7–9

Another weekend, another Riverhawks game! The Home team faces off against the Kelowna Falcons at RE/MAX Field, complete with theme nights including Friday Fireworks & Street Performers and First Responders Night on Saturday.

Edmonton Jerk Festival | July 8

Celebrate Jamaican culture with this festival in Queen Mary Park. Enjoy delicious Jamaican dishes while taking in live performances from the Trincan Steel Orchestra, Kelsey Wolver, and more!

Edmonton Stingers | July 8

The Edmonton Stingers hit the court this weekend for another game of exhilarating basketball action. Hot off their win against the Calgary Surge, Edmonton’s team will be facing off against the Winnipeg Sea Bears.
