Whether you have a Valentine or a flock of Palentines, the celebratory events happening over Valentine’s week are a great time to spend with someone special in your life! And from unlimited wine tastings to classic tales of love, Edmonton has tons of fun events for you to take in.

The Princess Bride Quote-A-Long | February 14 | 7 pm
Do you know all the words to the cult classic The Princess Bride? Then you’ll have a blast cheering for true love and quoting your favourite lines at this special screening of the cult classic! And don’t worry if their are a few gaps in your memory or you can’t hear the film — Metro will also be screening the captions.

Print Your Heart Out | February 11 | 11 am – 5 pm
Work with antique lead types, lino blocks, and letterpresses to craft your Valentine a unique gift! SNAP artists will be on hand to guide you through every step of the process to create the perfect print.

Valentine’s Day Disco Skate | February 14 | 5 pm – 9 pm
For a romantic evening or a great time with friends, skate to the hit tunes of the 70s and 80s around the City Hall rink! Free skate and helmet rentals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, along with roasted bannock and hot chocolate!

Love! (Whatever that Means) | February 14 | 7 pm
Celebrate love in all its forms: be it self-love, romantic love, or literal puppy love. Local poet Brandon Wint will perform his moving spoken-word poetry on the topic, and there will also be an open mic for other poets to share their love letters to anyone.

Valentine’s Day at Silver Skate Festival | February 10, 11, 14 & 17–19
On top of having a blast skating, you can snuggle up with your partner on a horse-drawn sleigh ride through Hawrelak Park and light a lantern for love as you go on an intimate stroll down the Folk Trail.

Valentine’s Gala | February 14 | 6 pm
Enjoy great food, wine, and company at Edmonton Opera’s annual Valentine’s Gala. The luxurious evening will include performances from the Edmonton Opera chorus, Citie Ballet, and the Royal Canadian Artillery Band.

With the purchase of one ticket, you’ll have access to unlimited samples of over 200 wines!
