Kick-off this year’s festivities at Old Strathcona from November 26–28! The OSBA Holiday Light Up infuses the historic Whyte Avenue with classic Edmonton holiday spirit as you and your loved ones explore the dazzling lights starting at the McIntyre Park gazebo. With ways to fill out your Christmas lists alongside safe and fun start-of-the-season celebrations, the OSBA Holiday Light Up is host to whatever you might be craving this Christmas season.

What to Expect

1) The Shop Hop!
Tis the season for finding the perfect gift for whoever’s on your Christmas list! And what better way to do that than supporting the Edmonton businesses you know and love? Over 30 Old Strathcona businesses from Dress Code to Rowena will be featuring exclusive promotions and deals, meaning you won’t want to miss out on this chance to snag unique local items for a fraction of the price. Mask up and join us from Nov 26-28 and experience the best of retail along Whyte Ave!

2) Late Shopping at the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market!
The original indoor farmers’ market along Whyte Ave returns this year on Nov 28 from 8 AM to 6 PM with a selection of locally grown and produced goods from Edmonton’s best assortment of home-grown vendors. Especially now, giving a platform for small businesses is incredibly crucial, which the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market has dedicated themselves to with their amazing array of Edmonton shops, growers, and merchants. We’ve got your Christmas dinner ingredients covered, with a dash of the city’s unique local flavour to boot.

3) The Start of the Edmonton Christmas Market!
This starting weekend also features the beginning of the Edmonton Christmas Market! The staff have been working hard to assure that even though the market looks a little different this year, the multi-platform approach assures that no matter where you find yourself, you can still enjoy the sights, sounds, and products available at this annual Edmonton staple. The in-person artisan market begins Nov 28 (though may be postponed), along with online programming featuring events such as paid workshops and tastings! Stay tuned for their upcoming giveaways for opportunities to win some favourite #WhyteWishes gifts.
