Mother’s Day Flower Workshop | May 5

Celebrate yourself or a special mom in your life with this fresh flower arranging workshop at The Fourth in Southgate Centre. Create a beautiful arrangement to display at home! Mom*-prov | May 8

This is your sign to try improv with your mom at Rapid Fire Theatre on May 8! Talk about unique Mother’s Day plans. The class is two and a half hours and features the opportunity for all mothers to show off how fun and funny they can be. You are encouraged to bring anyone who is “mom” to you—there are many different meanings of “mom” in the world! Tickets are $80 and are available for purchase on the Rapid Fire Theatre website.


Sugared & Spiced Pavlova and Dessert Boxes | Pre-Order by May 1

Sugared & Spiced has two feature items only available on Mother’s Day weekend: Pavlova and Mother’s Day Dessert Boxes. Each pavlova is boxed and wrapped with a ribbon. Each dessert box includes a lemon meringue tart, berries and cream tart, sweet and salty cheesecake, and raspberry white chocolate cheesecake. Pavlovas and dessert boxes are available to pick up on May 6, 7, or 8. Pre-order online today—orders close on May 1.

Mother’s Day High Chai | May 7

Enjoy Mother’s Day High Chai at Holiday Inn Edmonton South this Saturday! Mimosas and snacks will be served, followed by your choice of tea. There will also be many fun activities to take enjoy! The event starts at 2 pm, and tickets are available online through Eventbrite.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea | May 7 & 8

Mothers are in for a treat this year with Brew + Bloom Café’s special Afternoon Tea! Enjoy a selection of petite sweet treats served on a three-tier stand, including macarons, red velvet cake, scones, and savoury tea sandwiches. Choose from floral teas like the apple hibiscus white tea or mango guava green tea to complement your eats. Tables can seat up to two guests, and each reservation has two hours of seating time. Mother’s Day Picnic at Prairie Gardens | May 8

Enjoy a scrumptious picnic prepared by Oui Partake at Prairie Gardens! You can also attend a Fairy Finding Tour with Fizzlewit and take a ride on their trackless train. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the bunnies and baby goats. The picnic is intended for two adults (or one adult and one child). There are vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Fairmont Hotel Macdonald Mother’s Day Brunch | May 8

Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is ready to celebrate all the great moms out there in extravagant fashion. Reserve a spot in the Empire Ballroom, where you’ll be surrounded by more than 100 years of history. This buffet brunch fit for royalty includes salads, seafood, omelettes, meat carvings, and grand selections of hot entrees. Be sure to reserve your spot online. Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is also going grand this year with a $4,000 Mother’s Day package for one lucky mom. This experience includes luxury accommodations for four in Queen Elizabeth II Suite and attached guest room, a private bespoke perfuming session with PURA Botanicals, and a PURA Collection Package. It also includes a private Royal Afternoon Tea service, wine tasting and charcuterie service, and the hotel’s iconic Mother’s Day Brunch. Mother’s Day Brunch at Caffè Sorrentino | May 8

Get ready for a lot of fun on Mother’s Day as Caffè Sorrentino hosts an interactive cooking class! This class promises to have you take home some new skills through a dynamic hands-on cooking experience. The evening will start with a welcome wine, and the chef will entertain and guide you as you create the rest of the menu. Items for creation include a Poached Egg Sorrentina, Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast, Maple Bacon and Fingerling Potato Casserole, and Sicilian Brioche filled with vanilla ice cream. And yes, you will get to enjoy your culinary creation at the end of the night with a sit-down dinner. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet at Holiday Inn Edmonton South | May 8

It’s the perfect time to show all the special moms in your life just how much they mean to you. What better way to celebrate than with a buffet brunch? Evario Events Centre will host its first yearly Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet at the Holiday Inn Edmonton South on May 8. The chefs have prepared the perfect menu, using fresh seasonal produce and a lot of love. The menu features classic breakfast options, a charcuterie display, a carving station, and a dessert table. Main dishes in the buffet include braised turkey bourguignonne, herb-crusted basa, rigatoni tossed in a spicy Italian sausage pomodoro sauce, and more. There will be five seating times: 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:30, and 1:00. Children below the age of five eat for free. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite.

Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch at DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton | May 8

Mother’s Day at CRAFT Beer Market | May 8

Celebrate all the wonderful mothers of the world with delicious flights of MOM’osa’s (includes 5 fruity fizzy cocktails). All moms will also receive a complimentary Cedar Creek flower bomb.
