The Indigenous Art Park—ᐄᓃᐤ (ÎNÎW) River Lot 11∞ —is located within Queen Elizabeth Park, a peaceful, well-shaded area beside the North Saskatchewan River. Opened in 2018, it hosts six artworks created by Canadian artists—Amy Malbeuf, Tiffany Shaw-Collinge, Duane Linklater, Jerry Whitehead, Anne Barkhouse, and Marianne Nicolson—that celebrate the city’s rich Indigenous history. There are plenty of picnic tables and cycling or walking paths that overlook historic landmarks, such as the High Level Bridge, Alberta Legislature Building, and the Walterdale Bridge. With the area located between Edmonton’s downtown and Old Strathcona, it makes for the perfect pit stop between two favourite neighbourhoods.
