Emotion | February 19 – 21
Edmonton’s Citie Ballet is renowned for its heartfelt and stunning performances. Join them as they perform both famed and original pas de deuxs surrounding the theme of love. The show is a passionate combination of love scenes, opening with Prokofiev’s famousbalcony scene in Romeo and Juliet, then leading to a more modern pair of star-crossed lovers in a scene from Moulin Rouge: The Ballet. A duet from Cyrano displays the rush of uncertainty that sometimes accompanies a relationship, and the evening concludes with Love Articulated, a new work by Edmonton dancer/choreographer Kiera Keglowitsch. This aptly named performance will bring out every possible emotion associated with the wild adventure of falling in love.
