  7. The “11 O’clock Number” is Grindstone’s award winning improvised musical comedy! Based on suggestions from the audience, the cast improvises a brand new musical comedy on the spot. Complete with twisting plots and show stopping numbers, laughs are guaranteed.

  9. Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert returns to Winspear Centre for a New Year’s celebration that will enchant and delight audiences of all ages. Playing music from the golden age of Viennese music, the Maestro will lead audiences and the orchestra through music by Johann Strauss and his contemporaries.

  11. NASA chose Prism’s “Spaceship Superstar” as the official song aboard Space Shuttle Discovery during its historic final flight, which speaks to Prism’s ongoing popularity, even in outer space! From the Oil Crisis and the Environmental Movement to Pop Culture and the Death of the Muscle Car, the Driving Thru the ’70s exhibition is an exploration of what was happening in the contradictory and controversial 1970s. Explore this contentious and creative decade this weekend with friends and family.
  14. 7. Second Skin | until  December 31
  15. The works in this exhibition at the Art Gallery of Alberta traces the boundaries of the body and reference garments and adornment in many forms. These literal and symbolic objects of attire allow their ‘wearer’ to explore a myriad of issues including identity and representation; objectification and empowerment; mythology and history; imagined futures and the afterlife.
  16. 8. Corteo – Cirque Du Soleil | until December 31
  17. The clown Mauro envisions that his own burial will take place amid a carnival atmosphere and be attended by tender angels. The show contrasts the grand with the intimate, the silly with the tragic, and the beauty of perfection with the appeal of imperfection.
  18. 9. ETOWN SALSA presents: Felizaño Latin New Years Bash | December 31

It is no doubt going to be THE BEST Latin event this city will have seen in terms of pure sheer entertainment value that you will receive as part of your entry to this event.  They take pride in putting on a glitzy poshed out Latin event and they really want to make YOUR party the best in the city.
