  1. As the city steps into the new year, there are plenty of ongoing events to keep any and everyone entertained. Whether you want to bid a final farewell to the holiday season or enjoy some great music, we’ve got you covered.
  2. 1. Made in Italy | Jan 6 – 28
  3. Edmonton playwright/performer Farren Timoteo’s tour-de-force solo show is about an Italian teenager growing up in Jasper in the 1970s, caught between two worlds and determined to make his mark. Packed with disco, fantastic singing and a host of hilarious characters, this is a fun, heartfelt coming of age story you won’t want to miss.
  4. 2. Borealis Lights Christmas Drive-Thru Lighting Display | until Jan 7
  5. Say a final farewell to the holiday season with a captivating display of whimsical and festive scenes. With more than 800,000 twinkling lights, new animated displays for holiday season and the return of the 100ft dancing light tunnel.
  6. 3. Inter Mundos  | ongoing
  7. In this interactive exhibition, artists Megan Klak, Daniel Evans and Marilène Oliver navigate the once fixed boundary between the physical and the digital realms through painting, printmaking and virtual reality art installations, making it more porous and carving out a third, intersecting space – a space between worlds – an Inter Mundos.
  8. 4. Musical Mornings  | ongoing
  9. From this weekend until June 16, join Ms. Kate for a musical morning and meet musicians from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Together, you’ll sing, laugh, and be amazed by all the things instruments can do with a fun variety of familiar tunes. Designed for ages 1 – 5, come and learn with your child in the upstairs lobby of the Winspear Centre.
  10. 5. Ally McIntyre: Kindling  | ongoing
  11. In this exhibition, Ally McIntyre uses animal protagonists to explore human caused climate collapse. By presenting animals as central figures, McIntyre challenges the audience to reconsider their place and impact in the world. Although humans are not prominently depicted in this exhibition, their presence is palpable, and it is evident that human actions pose the primary threat to the welfare of the animals.
