Though you may not be ready to admit winter is coming, summer (and its oh-so-pleasing weather) will soon be leaving us! Here are some great must-dos for your final weeks of summer:
1. Symphony in the City | Aug 29 – Sep 1 | 8 pm
Every night this weekend, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will treat the city to a FREE concert! On Friday and Saturday, bring your lawn chair to Churchill Square for Disney in Concert, which will feature music from all of your favourite Disney films, including Aladdin, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, and Frozen. And on Sunday, head over to Kinsmen Park to hear the upbeat celebration of Celtic music with guest performers The McDades and watch the High Level Bridge light up in the background! 2. Patio Time!
Make the most of the way-too-short patio season in Edmonton! Some of the hot new patio spots include Craft Beer Market’s rooftop patio that has an incredible view of downtown and The Burg’s recently opened patio with a great view of the farmers’ market on Saturdays. Both are perfect locations for sampling a variety of craft beers.

Nothing offers a sweeter cool-off than freshly made gelato! Depending on where you’re located, Edmonton hosts several great spots for this decadent dessert. Visit Block 1912 on Whyte Ave. or Cococo Chocolatiers on 124 St. for their yummy gelato. Both have an outdoor seating area, so you can enjoy the summer weather and cross off two items on this list!

4. Food Truck Feast | Sep 12 | 4 – 8 pm
Over 25 food trucks will take over Churchill Square in What the Truck’s biggest event of the year — and its history! Some of the highlights include the British pub-grub fare of Knosh, the delicious vegan treats (such as smoked coconut bacon!) from Sailin’ On, and the upscale comfort food of Bully Food Truck.
