1. The Fine Art of Schmoozy | November 15 | 8 pm
At this night of fairytales and fashion, guests will be treated to live music from Nuela Charles, treats from Duchess Bake Shop, cocktails, and a silent auction. 2. Shadow Play Refinery Party | November 15 | 9 pm
Taking inspiration from the avant-garde shadow theatres of 19th Century Paris, the Art Gallery of Alberta’s latest late-night art party promises to be a night of whimsy! Explore light, dark, and colour with installations by local artists. You can even participate in some art projects, trying your own hand at shadow play.

3. Ampersand 27 Grand Opening | November 15
They’ve been soft-opened since the end of October, but this Saturday makes it official! If you dine at this unique restaurant during the evening of their grand opening, you’ll be treated to live music! With delicious cocktails, build-your-own charcuterie board — which include a selection of house-made pickles and locally sourced meats and cheeses — and entrees that look almost better than they taste, this is a new must-try restaurant in Edmonton!

4. Pure Spec 2014 | November 14–16
This festival brings together the best authors, merchants, costumes, and games in science fiction and fantasy for a weekend of pop culture and family-friendly fun. Panel discussions cover a wide range of engaging topics, including video game culture, character death matches, the dark side of nature, and archaeology. 5. One Man, Two Guvnors | Through November 16
It’s the last weekend to catch this hilarious play that’s guaranteed to make you laugh! This British farce is a marvellous concoction of satire, songs, slapstick humour, and one-liners. The play follows the tale of a man who is hired by two different criminals and must keep each from learning about the other.
