1. Rejuvenate yourself in floral displays

2. Take her out to a movie
Northwestfest runs until May 12, and it’s a great opportunity to see a new documentary flick. View films from around the world commenting on global human rights, social and environmental issues, and the strength of the human spirit at Canada’s longest-running documentary film festival. 3. Feast on a lovely brunch
Though most restaurants in the city will be serving a fantastic brunch, be sure to make a reservation to guarantee a spot! 5. Enjoy tea and cake together
Celebrate Mother’s Day in the beautiful U of A Botanic Garden, surrounded by outdoor gardens bursting with roses, lilacs, peonies, fauna, and more. Stroll the gardens, dine on strawberry shortcake and tea, enjoy live harp music, and a receive a special gift for mom’s garden.

6. Enjoy Mother’s Day at the Zoo
The Valley Zoo is putting a spotlight on moms—animal and human—this Mother’s Day! Enjoy airbrush tattoos, animal encounters, planting activities and live music. The zoo’s resident animal moms will be getting special enrichment treats throughout the afternoon.

7. Spend a day at Prairie Gardens
Head out to Prairie Gardens & Adventure Farm for a special brunch to celebrate Mom and spring with brunch amongst the blossoms! Reservations include a petting farm with baby goats, kids’ planting projects, spring crafts, and a bale maze. Don’t have brunch tickets? You can still enjoy gem mining, train rides, and all the farm fun activities at this charming Bon Accord attraction about a 40 minute drive from downtown Edmonton.
