Based on the beloved animated films and with music from the creators of the classic Broadway musical Ragtime, Anastasia tells the story of young orphan Anya, who sets off on a journey from Russia to the glittering lights of Paris to uncover her mysterious past. With a ruthless Soviet officer on her tail, Anya enlists the help of a charismatic con man and a kindly ex-aristocrat as she embarks on the adventure of a lifetime.
The first touring Broadway show to come to Edmonton since 2020, Anastasia marks another first with its star, Kyla Stone, the first Black actress to play the role of Anya. The cast also includes Sam McLellan as Dmitry, Brandon Delgado as Gleb, Gerri Weagraff as Dowager Empress, Bryan Seastrom as Vlad, Madeline Raube as Countess Lily and Taya Diggs and Marley Sophia as Little Anastasia. The ensemble includes Mikayla Agrella, Lance Timothy Barker, William Aaron Bishop, Harrison Drake, Thomas Henke, Dakota Hoar, Veronica Rae Jiao, Evin Johnson, Ceron Jones, Madeline Kendall, Lizzy Marie Legregin, Victoria Madden, Christian McQueen, Elizabeth Ritacco, Taylor Stanger, Sarah Statler and Lauren Teyke.
