Canadian Energy Museum

Located ten minutes from the Edmonton International Airport, this attraction is the 2013 Alberta Rural Tourism Champion award-winner for excellence in leadership, innovation, and accomplishments. The historical site salutes the grit, determination, and success of the Alberta oil patch. The 23,000-sq.-ft. museum features award-winning films, a hands-on learning lab, a drill bit virtual ride, over 200 exhibits, drilling rigs in action, and examples of alternative energies of wind, thermal and wave. Guided tours must be booked in advance.
