The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is an enjoyable visual art market experience where artists of all styles and backgrounds showcase their work. This year, they’ve moved indoors into the Army & Navy building on Whyte Ave and are hosting a more intimate Whyte Avenue Art Walk every weekend, Friday to Sunday, until August 1, 2021.
Each week features a different group of 30–50 visual artists demonstrating artmaking onsite and offering works for sale. Participating artists and a gallery of their work can be found on the Art Walk website. With a new show every weekend, it is the perfect reason to come down to find a new piece of art for your collection and spend a summer day shopping and dining in Old Strathcona.
“We are excited to see the artists in person again after watching them create on social media for 2 years. Edmonton has amazing talent. Art Walk is the best place to meet artists, see art, and buy a piece you love at your home or office. It is the ultimate shop local experience.”
— Kim Fjordbotten, Whyte Avenue Art Walk Co-Producer, The Paint Spot
