Pipe Ceremony to Honour Residential School and Holocaust Survivors

September 29, 2022

EPL along with the Jewish Federation of Edmonton is hosting a pipe ceremony to honour those lost in residential schools and the holocaust, as well as survivors and intergenerational survivors. The pipe carriers for this ceremony will be Nôhkom Jo-Ann Saddleback and Mosôm Jerry Saddleback.

This pipe ceremony is also to open the They Didn’t Know we were Seeds exhibit by Carol Wylie who painted portraits of both residential school and holocaust survivors. This exhibit will be installed in the Stanley A. Milner Library from September 25 to November 25.

Everyone is welcome at this ceremony. If this is your first time attending a pipe ceremony, you will be directed on where to sit and what to do.
