1) Beat the heat at Ardrossan Spray Park
When it comes to summertime fun, Ardrossan’s got you covered with their state-of-the-art spray park, located in Ardrossan Park. The spray park is on the bigger side, meaning there’s lots of room for the kids to run around. Water features to discover include giant cattails, a tractor, a variety of small fountains and jets, and a massive dump bucket.
2) Walk along Point-Aux-Pins Creek
Take in gorgeous natural scenery as you walk the paved trail along the creek. This trail connects many of Ardrossan’s amenities, making it a convenient and enjoyable way to get around all year long.
3) Pick up some fresh veggies at Ardrossan Farmers’ Market
Find fresh produce and homemade goodies at this charming local market, held in the parking lot of the Ardrossan Recreation Complex. The Ardrossan Farmers’ Market runs every Tuesday from June 1 to September 28., from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.
4) Get active on Ardrossan’s recreation fields
Pickleball, anyone? Ardrossan boasts several specialized sports fields for everything from soccer to pickleball to beach volleyball. There’s also an off-leash dog park so your furry friends can get some exercise too.
5) Ardrossan Recreation Complex
This sports and fitness complex has pretty much everything you’d want or need for a day of fitness and fun, from a wellness centre to indoor fields and two arenas. Book your activity time slots ahead of time through the Strathcona County website.
