Volleyball Canada Nationals

RVA 4 Bridges Bike Tour
Join the River Valley Alliance's Community Engagement Committee for a bike tour from Terwilliger Park, crossing four unique bridges. This will be a longer ride of around 18km for the round trip. However, it will be a leisurely ride, with opportunities to stop and take photos of the beautiful river views. The route is mostly flat with a few rollers, a switch back and a dog park.
W hat to bring:
This event is BYOB (bring your own bike or e-bike). Please make sure your bike is in good working order. One of our members will be available to help with any bike issues and they will have a first aid kit on hand.
It is also suggested to wear weather-appropriate clothing and bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Kapella Kyrie Slavic Chamber Choir
The concert and recording includes highlights Kappella Kyrie has worked on for the past few years, plus new works from their current season. Audiences will hear everything from Artem Vedel’s Нині отпущаєш (Song of Symeon) to an arrangement of Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning.
The evening features the premiere of Воскресіння (The Resurrection) by Edmonton composer, Diana Tayler, commissioned by Kappella Kyrie. The work is set to a poem by the award-winning Ukrainian poet, publisher, visual artist and political activist Marjana Savka and is about the optimistic spirit of so many Ukrainians fighting for their country.

International Children's Festival of Arts

Creating Beauty - A Watercolour Exhibit
Exhibiting artworks created by a group of 11 emerging artists, alumni of the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension Visual Arts certificate Program, who studied the Introductory Watercolour Technique course with curator Amy Loewan. The theme of this exhibition is about creating beauty. It is not about 'pretty or glamour', it is about expressing beauty with a deep sense of reverence to human relationships and to the natural world.

The Today Centre's 2nd Annual 'Illuminating Hope' Garden Cocktail Party
Hosted at the incredible Lodge at Snow Valley; be whisked away to a garden escape in the city, with served appetizers packed with flavour, signature cocktails full of vibrancy and colour, and a drink on the patio overlooking a sprawling green hillside. Enjoy various forms of entertainment, including a caricaturist, Salisbury Greenhouse micro-fundraiser, patio games, and SYC beer tasting, all while bidding on a selection of high-quality silent auction items, and most importantly, hearing personal stories of hope from survivors of family violence.
All Guts, No Glory Art Exhibit
All Guts, No Glory – a body of most recent and compelling works by Krissya Iraheta, an emerging American-born and Edmonton-based interdisciplinary visual artists – is an exploration of lost innocence and resilience in the darkest of times. Iraheta brings together themes of trauma, religion, sexuality, interiority, and the harsh struggle to suppress vulnerability in order to survive.
Panoramada Art Exhibit
PANORAMADA – the exquisitely executed body of textile works by Caitlin Thompson, a Calgary-based textile and multimedia artist and art educator – animates the gallery space with colorful needleworks incorporating embroidery, appliqué, and repeating patterns. The natural and the digital collide in imagery of landscapes – made both by hand and with machine. PANORAMADA is an exhibition of embroidermation – combining both embroidery and animation to create looping, revolving scenes of landscapes nodding towards the history of the panoramic vista.
